Transient: passing into or out of existence.
An exploration of the nature of trans as part of the natural world . . . of the energetic of the nature of trans as a natural state. An opportunity to have the binaries and boundaries of our minds expanded into a liminal state where identifying a ‘thing’ holds no value, and instead allowing ourselves to simply rest, enjoy, and engage with what is before us becomes the journey. An exploration of trans as a transient or ephemeral state – something that is continuously arriving and shifting, birthing, and shedding . . . transformation at its core.
This work draws on imagery from the natural world that has been taken out of context and reformed to provide something familiar and unfamiliar. Images that can be configured in many different ways so that it too is ephemeral in its presentation.
